SIFC CoDE - Code of Conduct

ST IVES FOOTBALL CLUB CoDE - CODE OF CONDUCT
 
  1. I will demonstrate fair play and good sportsmanship at every practice and match. I will also encourage fair play and good sportsmanship from other team players.
  2. I will attend every training session and game on time, and I will notify my coach or manager if I cannot make a practice or game.
  3. I will come to practices and games on time and ready to learn. I accept responsibility for bringing any equipment necessary for practice (ball, shin guards, water,) and games (shin guards, water and team uniform).
  4. I will follow coaching direction and will not be disruptive during practice or games, nor will I use bad language.
  5. I will treat other players, coaches, officials, and fans with respect and I will expect to be treated accordingly.
  6. I will respect the authority of the referee, even though I may sometimes disagree with the call.
  7. I deserve to have fun during my soccer experience. I will alert parents or coaches if it stops being fun.
  8. I will encourage my parents to be involved with my team in some capacity because it is important to me.
  9. I will conduct myself with honour, dignity and treat other players as I would like to be treated. I will remember at all times that I am representing St Ives Football Club and my team.
  10. I understand that poor behaviour during training sessions or games may result in lost playing time and expulsion from the team

PARENT’S PLEDGE
Please make yourself familiar with the code as it applies to you as a parent
 
  1. I will not use offensive language or harass players, coaches, match officials or spectators.
  2. I will not instruct/question players, match officials, coaches on match day.
  3. I will encourage my child to play within the rules and respect official and coaches’ decisions.
  4. I will teach my child to respect the efforts of their teammates and opponents.
  5. I will follow all reasonable requests by the coaches or club officials.
  6. I will respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability and cultural background.
  7. I will not criticize or ridicule my child’s or any player’s performance during or after the game.
  8. I will not arrive at the field intoxicated/under the influence of drugs or drink alcohol/take drugs at matches or training.
  9. I will gain an understanding of, respect and abide by the club’s policies and philosophy.
  10. I will not speak to the coach unsolicited regarding team/player performance.
  11. I will not enter the field of play or the changing room unless requested by a club official.
  12. I understand the Team Manager cannot respond to questions on football related matters.
  13. I will not engage in social media, forums, emails, blogs or other electronic media to comment on any aspect of the Club, NSFA or opposition clubs (includes teams, players, coaches, match officials, club officials, parents or spectators).
  14. I will not engage in any behaviour that brings the Club or the NSFA into disrepute.
  15. I understand player and parent contact details are not to be used for any purpose other than operating and managing the team as required and approved by the Club.
 
I agree to abide by this code of conduct and to be subject to the rules and policies of the Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) and the Club.


If I breach the above code of conduct, I understand the Club may impose a penalty ranging from a written warning to immediate player de-registration.
