Team Selection 2021

We are doing a few things differently in 2021 since we have selected a majority of our players for development programs for U7 to U16

For U8-16 teams, many players enjoy playing with friends so we will be focusing on Player growth and community to make sure our members enjoy their season.
Grading for u8 to U16 players will be on Sunday 21st February
For any junior players that have never played football before, we hare having a “come and try” afternoon on Sunday 28th February

For U6 and U7 squads we have a team grading afternoon Sunday 14th March

Emin Gala Day

On February 27th we start the season of our Over 35’s and 45’s with a 8 aside gala day and a Tribute game against 3M corporate team at Charles Bean Oval Lindfield. Funds raised on the day go to purchasing defib machines for teams playing in the NSFA competition.

Seniors football for Men and Women

We’re really keen to increase the participation in our O35 age groups for men and women this year, as well as our O45 for men. These teams are a fantastic way for our community to come together and have fun representing St Ives.
In particular we would love to see some more players from our wonderful families that already know and support our club. This could be parents of kids in our Miniroos or Junior teams that give up many hours to watch them play. After they’ve finished their game why not show the kids how it’s done?! The mixed team kids can be Dad’s Saturday afternoon fan and the girls can cheer on Mum on Sunday afternoon!
Or maybe it’s time the wives of existing male players got their chance? Why let him have all the fun? He can be the sideline supporter for once whilst you and your girlfriends have a kick around!
Whether you would like to learn a new sport, re-live old glories, get a bit fitter or meet new people in your community in a fun environment we have a place for you at St Ives FC. All abilities from beginner through to expert ageing gracefully are welcome!
