History & Overview of SIFC

St Ives Football Club is a not for profit football club offering football opportunities to local players since 1957. We cater to players from 5 – 99 years of age and cover all skill levels from the social player through to the players wishing to hone their skills and play at a higher level. We offer teams for boys, girls, men and women. We also run an All Abilities program , offering football to players with intellectual and physical disabilities. Our Club encourages members to improve and develop their skills, regardless of the what level they play. As well as developing our players as athletes, we also pride ourselves on developing and honing a sense of team work, fair play and integrity in our players.

We are also dedicated to supporting our volunteer Coaches and Managers who work tirelessly with our players. They are true community minded men and women who give up their time each week to assist our players on their football journey.

We are particularly passionate about player health and safety and since 2015 have purchased 11 defibrillators which have been distributed to St Ives teams. We have also purchased an additional 6 defibrillators which have been distributed to other local clubs in need. This has been made possible by fundraising events organised by SIFC.

NSFA Players in Winter Competition

Our club currently has approximately 760 registered players competing in the Northern Suburbs Football Association winter competition.
St Ives FC is one of 32 local clubs playing under the Northern Suburb Football Association ( NSFA) banner. In 2019 there were over 17,000 players within the Association.

Grounds and Facilities

Our competition home ground is Warrimoo Oval, St Ives and it features our state-of -the -art clubhouse which was built in 2015. We are one of the only clubs in NSFA to have such a wonderful facility and we are proud that we are able to utilise our club house to improve our members football experience. The clubhouse is also available for hire to other Community Groups. Our sponsorship notice board is situated within the clubhouse and is available for exclusive use of our sponsors to advertise their products.

Our main club focus is to convert Warrimoo Oval to a synthetic playing surface. We have been successful in receiving grant funds to go towards the conversion and we are working with Ku-Ring-Gai Council to make our dream a reality within the next two years.

Toolang Oval, St Ives is our MiniRoos home ground and over 300 players from across the Association take to the field there each Saturday Morning. Toolang Oval is also home for our All Abilities teams who play there every Saturday afternoon. We have a sponsorship notice board that is displayed each Saturday at Toolang Oval when games are on.

Why do we need Sponsors?

A well run sporting club does not come cheaply. Membership fees cover the basic cost of football but there are so many extra costs involved and these can make or break a club. With the cost of football rising many families find the cost of participation is stretching the family budget.

With many parents and players working long hours we are no longer able to rely on volunteers covering all duties and the need to pay for some duties to be completed is increasing.

We want to offer our members a safe and enjoyable football experience at an affordable cost and this is where our sponsors support comes into play. As a club, field improvement, player health and safety, equipment, player development , coach and manager support are all areas we see as valuable and vital to the success of our club.  Our sponsors are essentially the lifeblood of the club as their support enables us to provide and enhance on the valuable services listed above.

Sponsor Benefits

St Ives Football Club is a family club and the vast majority of our players and families are residents of St Ives. There is also a percentage of players who reside in nearby suburbs. This offers a perfect platform for local sponsors to reach out to local residents and advertise their products. St Ives Football Club is committed to ensuring our sponsors names and products are advertised to our sporting family.

St Ives FC places a great deal of importance on supporting those who support us.  Our sponsors are part of our team! We recognise that each sponsor is unique and endeavour to work with all our sponsors to tailor an individual and mutually beneficial sponsorship support package. We truly want our sponsors to benefit from our relationship and seek to support them however practical through the use of newsletters, banners, advertising, notice boards and social media.

Each year, the St Ives FC Committee will appoint a Sponsorship Liaison Officer who will work with our sponsors to ensure  all their needs are being met.

Shirt Sponsorship Packages

Player jerseys and training shirts are a vital part of our club and also one of the most expensive items we have to purchase. In order to keep costs at a minimum and to address the issue of shirts that are not returned each year we now provide players the opportunity to purchase their own shirt with their name on it . Approximately 15% of players have taken up this offer and this provides significant financial relief to the club. In accordance with NSFA requirements, all player jerseys and training shirts, personalised or otherwise are uniform with the exception of players name and number. Advertising space is available on the front of the player jerseys as well as on both jersey sleeves. The levels of sponsorship below are indicative as we are open to working with multiple sponsors who may wish to partner up.
